The Environmentalist shall be responsible for carrying out an environmental and social impact assessment of the project and prepare corresponding Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to minimise any negative impacts that the project will have on the environment.
Key Qualifications:
Mr. Kofi Gatu is an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Expert with over 15 years of practical experience in environmental and/or social management and assessments, including a proven track record in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and contributing to infrastructure development programs. He possesses an MSc. in Environmental Sustainability and Management, and Degree in Psychology. He is a member of the International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA) – Ghana. He has a strong command of E&S risk management principles, processes, and reporting standards applied by financial institutions. He has served as an Environmental, Social, Health and Safety expert for several community infrastructure upgrading projects in Ghana reviewing environmental, social and resettlement activities. He has held similar responsibilities on many other projects.

Environmental, Social, Health and Safety head for the Construction/rehabilitation of 137 km Gbarnga Road Project municipal feeder roads in the Liberia. Principal Consultant on the Environmental Impact Assessment for Ho Municipal Assembly solid waste management.
